Demitrio Plaque

 

Oh, the woes of out-of-state work. Another piece I have never seen an installed shot of. This home was surrounded by Lily-of-the-Valley and the homeowner wanted a chimney plaque for the exterior of the chimney to celebrate the spring. Note also the Dogwood flowers in the corners of the frame.

I opted to rather abstract the leaves and focus on the blloming stem. With very deep relief like this it is possible to get very bold shadows on bright days.
