This pediment is epoxied as one piece and awaits installation. As the guy in charge I never remember to take pictures. It was a thrill to see the plan come together and fall into place. Gluing it all together in the shop gave me a great deal of control over the accuracy of the fit and the details.

A shot taken during installation. Never to be seen again. One of the hardest things to do in stone is to carve a flute. They taper, if properly done, gradually. The spaces between each flute have to be perfectly spaced or the eye will see the difference. No mistakes are allowed, and it’s all done by hand with chisels, rasps, and sandpaper. Cool connection with centuries past. No other way to do it.

The finished entry. It is such an honor to work on projects that let me do my very best craftsmanship. I enjoy being a bad ass of accuracy.
