This piece greets visitors to Columbus Architecture firm Sullivan/Bruck as they step off the elevator.

The mirror-polished stainless steel is very thin gauge, wrapped around a stiffer, cheaper stock. The result is a flexible mirror of stainless steel, that, under the weight of the stone arch, flexes with every step anyone makes anywhere near. A very interactive piece. One of my favorites, as far as site-specificity goes.

In this shot the one quarter of a bronze ring, suspended perfectly in the interior right angle of a mirrored form, completes itself. The arch; also, completes itself in the reflection, and becomes a barrel vault. All an illusion that vibrates as one walks across the wooden floor.

I love that they had a light focused on the “base”. The vibrations of the light are like being underwater, as one walks across the floor.
