As my son outgrew his clothing, I found the abandoned things I had held so dear poignant in a strange way, and did a series of glass castings taken from clothing he had outgrown. This piece, with it’s severe cracking, has always stuck with me. The pants and the shirt are two different castings. I wish I had learned the importance of documentation as a much younger artist! This is the only photo I have of an entire series of works, most of which sold long before I started keeping track of where they went.
