Another piece from my sculpture garden, this piece was fantastic to see on cold winter mornings with the sun catching in the frost on the glass. It was a study in fragility, and held together almost three years before it was blown apart in a wind storm.

The mirror inside this piece would reflect the sun in crazy prismatic ways. It was a favorite of the birds, who loved to land on the top and walk around.

The rosette inside the glass upper was hand carved in oak in 1856. It came from a Krackauer Brothers piano given to me by a friend. This was a fun, quick study, done in a weekend.

Given the state of the grass, this shot must have been taken the day I put it up. I remember it was a beautiful day. I can only drive my forklift on the yard during the dry months.

In quick studies like this I turn a lack of craftsmanship into an asset, and let the details be as they are, casual and common.
