Stone, Leather, Copper Wire, Steel Wire

For a few years I explored ways of making sculpture that involved no fasteners, adhesives, welding, etc. I combined this with a practice of using the stone I cut off commissioned work as the main structural component. This piece is held together by steel and copper wire and leather thread; it is still strong in my sculpture garden now since 2006.

I need to take a good shot of this the next time we get a good snow. It is very cool covered in ice and snow.
