This is one of two surrounds in a large bedroom; it’s a see-through firebox in the middle of the room, so there is one surround on each side.

The client and the designer wanted something hand made, but subtle, and suited to the scale of the house and room.

Even though it is subtle, the details on this mantle make a clear statement of caring.
