This entry was patterned after a 1920’s fireplace in a home not far away. It is always a pleasure to try to carve in the style and hand of an earlier era. I think all carvers have always thought that. I hope I measured up.

Indiana Limestone
The dogwood detail added a few hours to the overall job, a fraction of the total, but it adds so much. It is regretful that the first thing clients are willing to let go to save money is te personal touch. Used well, it is the touch that adds the most, and comparatively costs the least.
