Often an architect will not design features like this, if a client indicates that they want something along these lines, but will leave that part of the blueprint blank, with a circle around it, and the caption “Carved Limestone entry, Typical”. After an afternoon with the homeowners spent sketching and chatting, this is the design we came up with. The details of this piece are all derived from the clients’ lives.
