Dioun Back Door

The crown of this entry was being moved into place using Lewis pins, which the mason in charge refused to believe were used incorrectly. Dale was walking with the lift and the mason to install the piece on a very muddy day. The pins pulled out and the piece fell- only about two feet, and the soft mud saved the piec with no chips, and the masons foot was pushed into the mud rather than being crushed. He had steel toed boots and didn’t feel a thing. A good example of how subtle details can add a whole lot of character.
